Senior Thesis
Each economics major must complete an original, self-directed piece of research that is of a quality on par with articles published in academic journals. Each student must defend the thesis before a panel of faculty, selected former graduates, and invited industry and academic leaders. If the faculty agrees, the single top thesis is awarded the Outstanding Thesis Award for that year.
Life After Duquesne
Duquesne’s Economics graduates typically are awarded Fellowships and paid internships prior to graduation, and full scholarships for graduate work in economics or law, or highly paid positions in industry.
