Economics is the only major at Duquesne University that is offered through two schools: the McAnulty College of Liberal Arts and the Palumbo School of Business.

· Students taking the major through the McAnulty College of Liberal Arts take the liberal arts core requirements and the economics major requirements, and graduate with a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics.

· Students taking the major through the Palumbo School of Business take the business core requirements and the economics major requirements, and graduate with a Bachelor of Science degree in economics.

· Regardless of the school from which the student comes, all economics majors are taught by the same faculty and take all of their economics courses together.

Students looking to go directly to the job market following graduation or to go on for graduate studies  in finance or marketing are encouraged to take their economics degrees through the Palumbo School of Business.
